Jacksonville, Fl – Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions announces the appointment of Ryan Hurt as Chief Executive Officer

Jacksonville, Fl – Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions (‘VHSS’ or ‘the Company’) announces the appointment of Ryan Hurt as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company-wide announcement was delivered internally on, and is effective, 6 September 2023. Ryan’s appointment follows an extensive internal development process that has seen him cycle through all areas of the business throughout his term as General Manager of VHSS.

Ryan, a Service-Disabled Veteran, joined the VHSS team with over ten years of medical device and sales leadership experience.  Prior to VHSS, he held various sales and management roles with multi-national Spinal Medical Device manufacturers. Prior to his commercial career, Ryan was a combat veteran and officer in the Air Force, flying reconnaissance missions over Iraq and Afghanistan.  Ryan graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and obtained an MBA from Trident University International. 

As part of VHSS’s strategic succession planning process, implemented in 2018, Ryan will succeed the Company’s founder, Gary Skura. Gary will remain involved in the business and will remain as the Chairman of VHSS’s Board of Directors. In late 2022, Gary announced his intention to the Board of Directors that he wanted scale back his day-to-day role and responsibilities and move towards retirement.
